AELC Procedural Wiki
In addition to the AELC Blog
http://aelc.blogspot.com , this site will house the frequently and infrequently used procedural issues for the Center. Navigation is via the navigation bar in the left hand column of this screen. A Wiki opens pages as you do in a book; one after another. When you click on 'HOME' for example, additional pages will appear. Click on any page to open it. AELC Specialist DJ Adams and I will be administrators of this site, and we appreciate your comments on the layout and content.
The original AELC Blog will continue to be used to house more of the 'current events' type items. That is where you will see things such as intentions, computer Help Desk items, Family Tech reminders and so on. I'll still keep the 'Stop' notification for items of special import on the Blog. As usual, this new process is a work in progress, and will be refined as we move forward.
I hope to see a lot of additions to this Wiki from staff. Web 2.0 is all about collaboration and the Wiki should indeed fit that collaborative environment. This is the place for items that you would have previously found in the
AELC Instructor's Manual, as well as a place to share your particular area of expertise with both new and experienced staff. We have a wealth of talent on staff, and sharing that talent makes all of us better informed. Contact DJ or me for a quick tutorial on using the Wiki. Don't worry about 'mistakes' or putting something in the wrong place. Anything can be moved, or cut and pasted to the correct page. Getting the information together is the key. Also, if you feel you want to add to the information presented on an existing page, you can easily do so using the EasyEdit Toolbar.
